Privacy Policy

Review Rocket is a trading name of SoDutch Pty Ltd (we, us, our), based in Cairns, Queensland. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to our website at reviewrocket.com.au and to the Review Rocket review management platform at customers.reviewrocket.com.au.

Two different groups of people are involved:

• Our customers. Businesses that hold a Review Rocket account.
• Our customers' customers. The people a business invites to leave a review. We process their details on behalf of that business, and the business decides who gets contacted.

2. Information we collect

Account information

• Name, email address, phone number and password
• Business name, address, website and industry
• Billing details, which are collected and stored by our payment provider, not by us

Information you upload or import

• Contact details for the customers you want to invite to review you, such as name, email address and mobile number
• Job or transaction references you choose to add

Connected account information

• When you connect a Google Business Profile, Facebook page or other third party account, we receive the access permissions you grant, together with your listing details, reviews and review responses
• We use this data only to provide the features you have asked for, such as showing your reviews and posting your replies. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising
• You can disconnect an account at any time from inside the platform, or by revoking access in your Google or Facebook account settings

Usage and technical information

• Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and time of visit
• Delivery and engagement records for review requests, such as sent, delivered, opened and clicked
• Cookies and similar technology, described in section 8

3. How we use it

• To create and run your account and provide the platform
• To send review requests and reminders on your instructions
• To display your reviews, ratings and reporting inside your dashboard
• To provide support and respond to your enquiries
• To bill you and keep financial records
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and diagnose faults
• To send you service notices, and marketing that you can opt out of at any time
• To meet our legal obligations

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

• Our software provider. The Review Rocket platform is built on licensed third party review management software, which hosts the platform and processes data on our behalf under contract.
• Message delivery providers. Email and SMS providers used to deliver your review requests.
• Review platforms. Google and Facebook, when you connect an account or a customer follows your review link.
• Payment and accounting providers. To process subscriptions and keep records.
• Professional advisers and authorities. Where we are required or permitted by law.

6. Overseas storage

Some of our providers store and process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the platform you consent to this transfer.

7. Security and retention

We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable providers to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep account data for as long as your account is open and for up to seven years after it closes where we need it for tax, accounting or legal reasons. You can ask us to delete customer contact lists you have uploaded at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep them.

8. Cookies and analytics

This website uses essential cookies needed for the site to work. We may also use privacy friendly website analytics, such as Google Analytics, to understand which pages people visit and how they found us. We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

9. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can access and update most of your information inside your dashboard. You can also contact us to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

If you are a customer of one of our users and you want your details removed, the fastest route is to use the unsubscribe link in the message you received, or to contact that business directly. You can also contact us and we will pass the request on.

10. Direct marketing

You can opt out of our marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Service messages about your account will still be sent while your account is open.

11. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first using the details below and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
